It has been a good month in this Baxter household. My entry is a bit late this month. I was delaying a little bit on the blog because yesterday we had our 19-week ultrasound and wanted to be able to announce the gender of Baby Bx. Turns out Baby Bx will be a BOY! We\u2019re both pretty excited (me a little more than Jason, and Grandma Marion perhaps more than both of us!). We\u2019re still estimated to have an arrival in the first half of March 2012. \ud83d\ude09 I posted a bit more about our ultrasound along with pictures for interested parties here: https:\/\/aroundherelately.com\/?p=2072<\/a> For VERY interested parties I have a video link to a portion of our ultrasound\u2026available by e-mail request.<\/p>\n

In other news, the yard is getting buttoned up for winter. Today I plan to move the fish to their winter home in the basement in order to cover the pond and shield it from the falling leaves. This time of year it tends to get sort of nasty, and is just a murky watering hole for the neighborhood strays anyway. Our garden is just about done, and it sounds like this week we might have a frost to finish it off. A few weeks ago we tried to drive the Nebo Mountain loop to see the leaves changing, but saw a lot of snow and fog at the top of the mountain instead. Better luck next time I guess. Jason tried his best to narrate our drive \u201cIf we weren\u2019t driving through 6\u201d of wet unplowed snow and trying not to die, and if that large cloud wasn\u2019t in the way, we could see Utah lake to our left\u2026.\u201d It was a good day outing either way.<\/p>\n

Last weekend I had a good time at (new)Stephanie\u2019s bridal shower. That’s right…there will\u00a0soon be another Stephanie Baxter in this Baxter\u00a0family!\u00a0 I also got to cuddle our cousin Aubrey’s\u00a0baby Timothy for awhile, who is a cute little limp-noodle snuggler when he\u2019s asleep. I hope we have one who stays just like that for awhile!<\/p>\n

Last night we made our annual trip to see the Odyssey Dance Company\u2019s production of \u201cThriller\u201d at Kingsbury Hall. It’s a Halloween-themed dance production that’s pretty hilarious. We tend to go with some variety of cousins\/friends each\u00a0year.\u00a0Having a good night out to dinner and a show once in awhile makes me feel better about having some days when pregnancy just feels \u2018blah\u2019.<\/p>\n

I think that sums it up. We\u2019re happy and healthy and looking forward to seeing everyone during upcoming events and into the holidays. There will\u00a0be a WI trip again this\u00a0year around the holidays so stay\u00a0tuned for more info.\u00a0Take Care!<\/p>\n
