A lot of things in my yard come home from the store looking green and healthy, and then proceed to die. If you don’t count the garden, I think I really only have one flowerbed that could be considered fertile. After reseeding the whole lawn, and digging most everything else up at least once, I’m not sure I’ll have the ambition in this house to tear out all of the flowerbeds and amend the soil to be what it needs. For this reason I absolutely adore these Hen & Chicks. They tolerate some serious Utah drought abuse and still carry on as happily as ever!
