8 weeks to go until we meet baby boy Bx! He’s been very active this past month and has taken to kicking me in the ribs with gusto. Right before Christmas I passed my glucose test (whew!) and was able to travel without that extra worry. They increased my iron intake slightly, but I haven’t really noticed much difference other than it is another pill to take. The flight went well with just some slight edema from all the sitting. We toured the bump around WI for Christmas and everyone was excited to see a little snapshot of our pregnancy. It was sad to leave, and scary to think that the next time I’m home we’ll be travelling with a baby! While wandering around the grocery store a few weeks ago I was pondering some cereal and rubbing my ever-expanding tummy when a gentleman (with a generous belly himself) told me “I’ve had my belly a lot longer than yours, and you can rub it all you want but it isn’t going to make it go away”. It made me smile. I’m also apparently in the stage of pregnancy where the free advice increases rapidly. I try to take it all with a grain of salt, and look forward to a new little one in a couple short months! Here are some more recent pictures.
