How can this be, my baby is 3. What. The. Heck. Andrew you are the cutest, naughtiest, most boisterous 3 year old. Let’s start with the cute shall we? You have the silliest laugh, and you laugh often. Those blue eyes have a spark of trouble. You are a bubble chasing, thumbs up giving, high fiving, tricycle riding extraordinaire. You can be the sweetest of sweet, often wanting someone to “lay by you”, during nap time or “rock-a-bye” at bedtime. We’re trying to soak it all up, as quite frankly your older brothers were done with nap time snuggles and bedtime rock-a-bye long before turning 3. You are also quite talented at falling asleep at night with your flashlight shining directly at your face. How you can do that I may never understand. It’s a small wonder you haven’t decided to climb out of your crib yet, little do you know, you’ll be in a big boy bed very soon! You still nap like a rock star most days. Doesn’t take much convincing to get you to nap. You’ll trot right off to bed with your car blankie and your polar bear. On the subject of polar bears—he’s a panda—not that we could tell you that. How you decided your stuffie was a black and white polar bear is beyond me. He must be the first of his kind. We corrected you so many times we finally stopped trying and now we own a very identity confused panda. What about those brothers of yours? You aren’t afraid to get right in there and wrestle with your big bothers, whether they are in the mood to wrestle or not. William is your buddy. He takes time to play your games and is generally pretty patient with you. You know how to press Christopher’s buttons, for a minute I thought you two were becoming friends and then the button pushing continued. You like to wrestle with him (he doesn’t like to wrestle), you like to play with his toys (he doesn’t like to share), and you just really really really want to play with him (he doesn’t reciprocate). You are self-sufficient. Perhaps that comes with being the 3rd child. If dinner isn’t quite ready and you decide you’re hungry, you’ll just dig into the snack cupboards and drawers until you find something you can eat. You don’t like to take ‘no’ for an answer. You’re probably the reason my gray hair is starting to creep in but I love you loads and wouldn’t change a thing! Happy 3rd Birthday to my littlest big boy!
