The tall and skinny Christopher is 8! Gosh we love this kid. He’s got freckles on his nose and braces on his teeth and still makes the BEST faces! He’s grown several inches this past year and William is a bit concerned about the competition he’s throwing down in the height department. Christopher and William are still best buds, but as Christopher has matured, he also is the most likely brother to need his alone time as well. I can’t blame him for that! This year he’s made good strides in emotional maturity and he’s learning to let things roll off his back a bit easier. It’s a work in progress.
Christopher enjoys grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup so much so, that it was chosen for his birthday celebration meal this year. He can name SO MANY Pokemon including all their evolves. His favorite color is Teal…or Cyan. He is a night owl and hates having to wake up to an alarm more than anything in the world. When you share a room with the morning person of the bunch the alarm seems extra personally insulting.
Christopher enjoyed playing rec soccer this spring, but is not in line to be a sport phenom. The poor kid isn’t particularly focused on the field and seems to run away from the ball more frequently than he runs at it. Thankfully we’re not a sports driven family so it’s all in good fun for some sunshine and fresh air. We’ll continue to play as long as they’re having fun but that’s about the extent of it.
This year we’re going to work on Christopher having more responsibility around the house. As a middle child you get shielded from some of that stuff while your older brother takes the brunt of it. He tends to “silly” his way out of chores and picking up after himself. Being 8, it’s time to put more of that silly energy to good use. 🙂
8 should be an exciting year! Happy birthday to you Christopher. The silly, skinny, freckled one! We love you!
