Huuurumph

That is the noise I made when I just realized it has been over a month since I’ve posted anything here. I knew it had been awhile, I just didn’t think it had been that long. Time sure does fly. Since my last post William has developed quite a few new exciting skills. He now screams and babbles to his heart’s content. He digs in his feet and scoots (especially when we put him on our soft bed), but usually he ends up putting his head down and rolling over. Will had learned to roll from his back to his front on 7/4…FINALLY about 7 weeks later on 8/25 he started rolling from his tummy to his back! Thankfully he isn’t stranded like a beached whale any longer. He really enjoys stroller walks and shopping cart adventures. He loves to sit in the yard by the pond or in the grass. He eats anything that is delivered by spoon. We are having a good time watching his personality develop.

Over Labor Day weekend we had a guest babysitter! My mom came all the way from WI to watch William for a few days while we took my brother and Jen to visit southwestern Utah. We visited Bryce Canyon National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument, Zion National Park, Hell’s Backbone/Escalante, and Capitol Reef National Park. It was fun. I got to use my pump in several national parks to replenish my freezer stash (and of course, make the adventure more comfortable for me). We spent a ton of time in the car and got back much later than we’d planned, but it was a great time with my brother and his girlfriend. My mom had quite a bit of fun too. 🙂

We are in the process of looking for a house. We are actually very close to purchasing one. More space is going to be amazing, but the work is very daunting right now.  I think we will have a lot of great help from family and friends.

We are preparing for another trip to WI to visit. It will be great for my dad to see William again. They haven’t gotten to play together since we visited in May and Will was just 2mos old. My dad has big plans to show him the garden and tour him around the farm. I think it will be fun to see them together. We video chat almost every day, but it is nice to have our in person time as well.

Here is a family picture that is fairly recent. Ok, it’s like a month old, but we don’t get dressed up very often. Take Care Everyone!
